Fotografado entre 2016 e 2018, em São Pedro, uma comunidade isolada no Estado do Pará, Brasil, Puxirum é um ensaio sobre a melancolia do tempo expandido dos ribeirinhos da Amazônia brasileira.

Enquanto o próprio autor experimenta uma mudança de vida, um ajuste extremo do relógio interno, a obra se equilibra entre uma visão desejosa e romantizada de um ritmo de vida marcado essencialmente pela natureza e o incomodo diante da imobilidade das circunstâncias limitadas dos habitantes da floresta.


Photographed between 2016 and 2018, in São Pedro, an isolated community in the State of Pará, Brazil, Puxirum is an essay about the melancholy of the expanded time of the riverside dwellers ("ribeirinhos") of the Brazilian Amazon.

As the author himself experiences a shift in life, an extreme adjustment of the internal clock, the work balances itself between a wishful and romanticized vision of a pace of life essentially marked by nature and the anguish in the face of the stillness of the limited circumstances of the inhabitants of the jungle.
